  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA)
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience, including 5 years at a senior level in private companies

Brief Description

The Vice President of Finance & Administration will act as a strategic partner to the management team and the Board of Directors and will support the company with financial expertise while mobilizing its employees.

The Vice President of Finance & Administration will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational activities of the company including financial, tax, and budget planning, financial performance review including cost analysis and monitoring, compliance with various regulatory and statutory requirements, and follow-up on various corporate projects.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Play a strategic role, including participation in monthly meetings to present financial statements to the Board of Directors
  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts to ensure that the company’s financial objectives are met concerning operational objectives
  • Financially evaluate the opportunities for special projects and investments that support the company’s objectives and mission
  • Actively manage the company’s fiscal planning and R&D processes for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, attorneys, and insurance companies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of best practices in costing and present management information to the executive committee.
  • Ensure the maintenance of customer price lists, customer discounts, and all other related items
  • Proactively manage the company’s commercial, liability, and automobile insurance files
  • Ensure the negotiation of the group insurance file
  • Provide recommendations and actively participate in cases representing collection issues
  • Assume financial accountability for CSST files
  • Oversee human resources and information technology by ensuring excellent teamwork and providing inspirational leadership
  • Actively participate in various special projects (dashboard, ERP system optimization, etc.) to ensure the implementation of best practices and the optimization of the company’s financial performance


Required Qualifications


  • Hold a recognized accounting designation (CPA)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience, including 5 years at a senior level in private companies
  • Professional experience in the manufacturing field
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset)
  • Experience in a unionized environment


  • Excellent knowledge of costing
  • Experience in ERP system optimization
  • Fluency in French and English, spoken and written
  • Mastery of Excel
