REGIONAL MANAGER (ONTARIO)
Our client, Ortec Environment Services, is looking for a Regional Manager to join their dynamic team located in Ontario.
Reporting to the General Manager of Ortec Environment Services, the Regional Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for a group of business units.
- University undergrad degree or equivalent/superior diploma in a relevant field (construction, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, etc.).
- A minimum of 5-7 years of pertinent experience in multi-site management or regional leadership, ideally in technical, environmental, or industrial services.
- Management experience in a unionized work environment.
- Strong ability to coach managers, drive growth, and align practices across regional operations.
- Excellent command of operational, commercial, and HR-related issues.
- Good understanding of environmental issues, applicable regulations, and client expectations in institutional or industrial sectors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related IT tools.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; French is an asset.

Description
Reporting to the General Manager of ORTEC Environment Services, the Regional Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for a group of business units. He supports local teams in achieving their objectives, ensures consistency of practices, and plays an active role in the organization’s development within his region.
He acts as a key resource for branch managers, ensuring alignment between regional direction and corporate priorities.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and mobilize the branch managers under their responsibility (70-80 employees).
- Ensure alignment of management practices, operations, and business initiatives across the region.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of each unit (financial, operational, HR) and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Actively contribute to business development and the company’s regional positioning.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Promote cross-site collaboration and the sharing of best practices.
Required Qualifications
Education
- University undergrad degree or equivalent/superior diploma in a relevant field (construction, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, etc.).
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 5-7 years of pertinent experience in multi-site management or regional leadership, ideally in technical, environmental, or industrial services.
- Management experience in a unionized work environment.
Skills
- Strong ability to coach managers, drive growth, and align practices across regional operations.
- Excellent command of operational, commercial, and HR-related issues.
- Knowledge of heavy industry and industrial cleaning (an asset).
- Good understanding of environmental issues, applicable regulations, and client expectations in institutional or industrial sectors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related IT tools.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; French is an asset.
