We have been mandated by the company to recruit a Financial Controller and IT Project who will join the team based at their offices located in Ville Saint-Laurent.

YOUR FIRST YEAR PROJECTS AND DELIVERABLES

You will be called upon to play a key role in the business through the implementation of a new system and process by positioning yourself as a project leader in close collaboration with the CFO.

• Actively participate in the implementation of a new system
• Manage the ERP system
• Provide avenues for improvement to optimize the performance of financial and management operations
• Act as a super user

THE STRATEGIC ROLE: Financial Controller and IT Project

Acting as the right arm of the Financial Director, you will be called upon to take charge of the complete accounting cycle of E-SMART, in addition to contributing to strategic files of the large entity, such as for financing or acquisitions.

The Financial Controller and IT Project will have more specifically as roles and responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and management of the complete accounting cycle including the underlying analyzes or other responsibilities related to month closures
• Preparation of documentation for the monthly meetings of the management committee and the board of directors;
• Responsible for the analysis of the company’s margins
• Development of KPIs and management tools
• Monthly preparation of management reports including the development of KPIs and management tools
• Preparation of corporate statutory reports including sales tax reports, and other documents required by government or regulatory authorities
• Calculation of commissions, inventory control and invoicing
• Preparation of financial projections
• Work in collaboration with the operations team to ensure sound financial management
• Preparation of the end of year file
• Ad hoc analyzes and support the various teams of the company

Qualifications

• Possess a recognized accounting designation (CPA)
• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Advanced skills of the Office suite (Excel advanced formulas)
• Great ease with IT systems, including ERP
• Experience in system implementation (an important asset)
• Experience with Netsuite (an asset)
• Experience with an inventory system
• Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English both orally and in writing
