Our client, Metro, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor (Pharmaceutical Division).
Reporting to the Head of Retail Accounting and Budget, they are responsible for coordinating and supervising the operational activities of the Retail Accounting Department.
- Hold an accounting designation or be in the process of obtaining one (CPA)
- Relevant experience in an accounting department
- Knowledge of Quasimodo, Excel, Acomba
- Excellent oral and written French

Brief Description
The Accounting Supervisor reports to the Head of Retail Accounting and Budget. They are responsible for coordinating and supervising the operational activities of the Retail Accounting Department.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities leading to the timely production of financial statements, weekly sales reports, and other reports for all clients
- Implement the retail accounting system for new clients
- Verify, analyze, and comment on specific and relevant elements of each financial statement and report to their superior
- Ensure that the level of harmonization in the processing of accounting department activities is maintained between the different work teams
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, new systems, and work methods related to the processing of accounting and administrative activities of the Retail Accounting Department
- Respond to any specific request through analyses or the production of various reports or the realization of special mandates
- Is available for outside travel such as meeting with new clients, taking inventory, and other tasks
Required Qualifications
Training
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting option
- Hold an accounting designation or be in the process of obtaining one (CPA)
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting department
Competencies
- Knowledge of Quasimodo, Excel, Acomba
- Excellent oral and written French
